Dear Parents/ Carers,

I am writing to provide you with an update on COVID-19 and to let you know what Astrea as a trust is doing to support each of the academies in our family.

The safety and wellbeing of your child will always be our most important priority, and we are continuing to follow the latest guidance and advice from the Government through Public Health England and the Department for Education.

As a Trust we are working extremely closely with your school’s Principal to ensure all national guidance is fully implemented as well as providing additional support to the school where further queries arise.

The current advice is that schools should continue to remain open, but that may change over the coming period. We recognise that this will mean you may have to make alternative work or childcare arrangements, and so we will give you as much notice as possible, should that Government advice change.

We will continue to stress the importance of regular hand-washing in school as a way of helping tackle the coronavirus. We are also making sure that school is rigorously cleaned on a regular basis.

You can find full guidance at the following link: COVID-19: guidance for educational settings

We are committed to keeping you fully updated over the coming days and weeks and will share information and guidance with you promptly. We recognise this is a worrying time for everyone, and I want to reassure you again that we will be doing everything we can to ensure that your child continues to be safe.

Yours sincerely,

Adam Goldstein
