The Secretary of State made an announcement to the House of Commons at 5.15pm this afternoon stating that schools will close to most students at the end of Friday.
I am now attempting to interpret his full statement and the implications for Netherwood students and the community. I will post full information as soon as possible, in the meantime please avoid rumours and speculation.
I want to assure you that we have been preparing for a school closure and I now need parents to act on previous messages by ensuring that we have up to date email addresses, that all families have downloaded the Astrea App and students know their passwords in order to log onto the academy portal. We will now communicate with you electronically and it would be helpful if parents can form informal communication groups in order to ensure that message get through.
Tomorrow the academy will operate a full timetable and all students are welcome. If attending, I expect them all to behave and support my staff as we push forward plans for the coming weeks.
Best wishes
Eric Jackson
