The Careers Education and Guidance provision at Netherwood is integrated within the school curriculum to ensure that students are prepared for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of modern life. They have access to impartial advice and guidance from a variety of sources including a dedicated Careers Advisor in school. Students are also given the opportunity to gain first-hand information from local employers, and training organisations
Students and parents can contact the Careers Advisor with any queries and to request appointments. A Careers advice and guidance stand will also be available at y8-y11 parents’ evenings.
The Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance programme is measured against the student leaver destinations and the evaluations gathered from student, staff and visitor feedback. It is also updated and reviewed in line with government statutory guidelines and the Gatsby benchmarks.
This information is used to evaluate and improve the CEIAG provision at the annual review meeting.
The CEIAG annual review meeting takes place in the summer term each year.
